The Year 2000’s Advisory Selection Panel was expanded and included:

• Carolyn Pfeiffer-Bradshaw - Film producer currently based in Los Angeles;
• Brian St Juste - Filmmaker and DBA Foundation member
• Natalie Thompson - Filmmaker and DBA Foundation member
• Chris Browne - Director and independent filmmaker
• Franklyn "Chappie" St Juste - Cinematographer/filmmaker
• Norman Rae - Former film critic
• Monica DaSilva - Film and television librarian currently at CVM TV
• Wycliffe Bennett - Filmmaker and film educator
• Maureen Rowe - An "informed film buff" - as a member of the public
• Michael Reckord - Film Critic
• Alwin Bully - UNESCO Subregional Film Adviser
